Update 8/3/210 - Finally got started working on the restoration this year after long wet spring and too too hot few weeks after. Last year the final tasks achieved were replacing some rivets on the hard top, and doing some carbon fiber reinforcement in areas of the rain gutter and where there used to be holes for CB antennas. Today I finished sandblasting the hard top connection brackets and discovered that there were some serious rust holes and some structural deficiencies as a result. There are also some welded in screws that need to be replaced as they are broken off, and some that need to be drilled out and re-tapped. Pictures will be coming in the next few days.
Updates: Just added a bunch of new pictures starting with the section entitled "Rear Lift Up Door 2" That section and the sections entitled "Side Roof Support Panels 1, 2, and 3" and the section entitled "Cutting, Buffing, and Polishing" all have new pictures.
NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS IN SLIDE SHOW. If you use the single arrow button in the slideshow, and let it run automatically, you will not see the comments on the pictures. Instead, use the double arrow button, and the picture will stay as long as you want it to, then you can also see the comments and explanations in each picture.
GREAT NEW PICTURES ON HARD TOP MOUNTING BRACKET REMOVAL PROCEDURE!
I am in the process of disassembling the hard top. There are some real gotchas in here. If you've removed the hard top from the side support panels but need to know how to get the rest of the pieces off of the underside of the hard top, I now have pictures showing the procedure.
